The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) currently has around 600 members, representing approximately 1,800 companies across Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kampong Cham, Tboung Khmum, Kratie, Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, and Kep. We are actively expanding, with plans to establish chapters in Koh Kong, Kampong Speu, and Pursat in the coming years, aiming for a presence in all provinces by 2026. Our goal is to connect young entrepreneurs nationwide, strengthen Cambodia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and contribute to economic growth.
We envision a future where Cambodia’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) thrive through digital transformation, inclusivity, and innovation to stay competitive in an evolving global market. Based on our research, Cambodian entrepreneurs face persistent challenges, including limited access to working capital financing and equity investment, access to competent, productive, and experienced human capital, and a lack of digital adoption and innovation in business processes.
To address these challenges, we have developed six strategic priorities for 2020-2025 (with plans underway for 2026-2030):
1️⃣ Expand access to financing and investment capital for entrepreneurs, especially YEAC members.
2️⃣ Enhance digital skills, modern business strategies, and innovation to improve competitiveness.
3️⃣ Strengthen workforce skills and align with the evolving ASEAN labor market.
4️⃣ Collaborate with the government bodies to shape policies that support MSMEs.
5️⃣ Expand international trade opportunities and partnerships for Cambodian entrepreneurs.
6️⃣ Grow YEAC’s membership, expand chapters, and build a sustainable association.
Founded in September 2009 by a group of passionate business leaders, the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering Cambodia’s next generation of entrepreneurs—especially women. We build networks, share practical business insights, and create real opportunities for growth.
For over 15 years, we’ve been at the heart of Cambodia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, contributing to business policy development, attracting investments, and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)—the backbone of our economy. In Cambodia, there are approximately 500.000 MSMEs. They account for 99.8% of all businesses, provide around 70% of total employment, and contribute 58% to national GDP growth. Through partnerships with the various government’s bodies, development partners, civil society, and the private sector, we are committed to making Cambodian businesses more competitive, both regionally and globally.
This includes training, digitalization, access to finance, business matching, international reach, business referrals, representing their voices, among others.
Engage in policy advocacy with governments, development partners and other business associations for the long-term health and growth of the private sector.
Represent Cambodian young entrepreneurs on the international stages on equal footing.
Build a sustainable and well-functioning association. We have in place the Strategic Plan 2025, outlining our vision and mission.
The Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC) was launched in September 2009 by a team of passionate Cambodian young entrepreneurs from various business sectors.
